NCC to phone users: Call 622 for complaints from poor services of nework providers
The
Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has asked telecoms subscribers
call its toll-free customer care line, 622, if they don’t get
resolution to problems with their service providers.
But phone
users must first report their complaints to their service providers and
then call the telecoms industry regulator’s toll-free customer care line
622 “if there is no resolution.”
Dr Eugene Juwah, the Executive
Vice Chairman of NCC, dropped the hint at the 74th Edition of Consumer
Outreach Programme (COP) held recently at Asaba, Delta State. The event
was held with the theme “Effective Service Delivery: The Right of the
Telecoms Consumer.”
Juwah, who was represented by Michael Onyia,
an NCC Commissioner, says that telecoms operators need to improve on
the quality of service.
The event provided telecom subscribers
present at the outreach the opportunity to have a direct interface with
their various service providers where they asked them questions and also
presented their complaints, which were instantly resolved.
